When Life Feels Heavy: How to Find Your Way Back to Yourself.

There are seasons in life when everything feels heavy. The to-do list never ends, the joy you used to feel in small things seems far away, and you catch yourself asking, “When did I stop feeling like me?”

If you’ve ever had that thought, you’re not alone. Many of the women I work with describe this sense of being lost—like they’ve been running on autopilot for years. They’ve built careers, raised families, kept everything afloat… but in the process, they’ve forgotten what lights them up.

The truth is, losing touch with yourself doesn’t mean you’re broken. It simply means you’ve given so much of your energy to surviving, that there’s none left for thriving.

Signs you might be out of alignment

  • You feel constantly tired, no matter how much you rest.

  • You struggle to make decisions because you don’t know what you really want anymore.

  • You fill your days with “shoulds” instead of “wants.”

  • You can’t remember the last time you felt truly excited about something.

Does that sound familiar? If so, the good news is this: you can begin again.

Gentle ways to reconnect

  1. Pause for five minutes a day. Close your eyes, take a breath, and check in with yourself. Ask, “What do I need right now?”

  2. Keep a simple journal. Write down one thing you’re grateful for, one thing you’re proud of, and one thing you want to try. Over time, these tiny reflections can reveal what matters most to you.

  3. Spend time in nature. Walk slowly. Notice the colours, the sounds, the ground beneath your feet. Nature has a way of reminding us of our place in the world.

  4. Allow yourself to want more. This is a big one. Wanting more joy, more connection, or more peace doesn’t make you ungrateful. It makes you human.

You get to rewrite your story

You don’t need to overhaul your life overnight. Change often begins with the smallest of steps—the moment you decide to pause, to listen, and to give yourself permission to matter.

Coaching isn’t about fixing you. You’re not broken. Coaching is about helping you untangle the noise, rediscover your voice, and take intentional steps towards the life you actually want to live.

If you’re ready to feel like you again, I’d love to walk alongside you.
